Lori is fantastic and literally a miracle worker. I had major shoulder pain after traveling and lugging a friend's wheelchair. In our first meeting, she diagnosed what was wrong and worked with me over only a few sessions to fix it. I couldn't believe it! She came highly recommended and I now recommend her to others as well - she is simply amazing. Thank you Lori!

I have been in pain for 4 years after having surgery. After two to three sessions with Lori my pain is gone. Lori has given me exercises each week to start building muscle and to increase mobility. It's remarkable how quickly I'm seeing results. I am so grateful to know that I don't have to live with chronic pain. Thank you, Lori!!!

I have never written a Google review before but felt compelled to review Lori. I have seen 3 PTs in Boulder and probably more than 6 in the past 7 years and no one comes close to as good Lori. She is the best money I've ever spent.
1) She Listens - If you don't like your exercises, they're too much, too little, or you don't feel them working, she acts on your feedback immediately. I'd tell her I couldn't "feel" an exercise where I was supposed to, and she'd immediately change it up and give me a different one that worked.
2) Simplicity - My other PTs would prescribe way too many exercises that took too long to do, and then when I wasn't consistent, I'd feel at fault (which I was). But Lori keeps it simple, only giving a few high quality exercises that take 10' to do and are easy for me to make a regular habit.
3) She dug down to root cause - So many PT's I went to didn't go deep enough. They said I had weak glutes, and provided glute strengthening exercises. Lori was the one who realized my glutes were presenting as weak because they weren't firing - I needed to get my brain used to using the muscles correctly, not just add load to already miswired circuits. Immediately I progressed and felt myself using my glutes in ways I never did before. And this will pay dividends for the rest of my life.
4) She treats you like an athlete - I sprained my ankle badly 5 weeks before LT100. She assessed me immediately and saw despite the bruising, that my ligaments and tendons were fine and I should keep the ankle moving and not give up on the race. Other PTs would've babied it and told me to pull out, but not Lori. The ankle recovered extremely quickly because Lori was aggressive with the treatment. I was able to finish and the ankle was a non-issue.
5) She's financially responsible - Many PTs want you coming back on a regular basis, even when it's not necessary. Lori's only seeing you when she thinks its valuable for you. When she felt like my glute issue was solved, she said congrats and said another appointment wasn't needed. Another example, after spraining my ankle, she did some physical tests and told me I definitely didn't need an MRI. Another PT I went to said the next day that I should get an MRI "just to be safe". Lori saves me money.
I scheduled a gate analysis with Lori on a whim and am so happy I did so. Now I refer all my friends to her. My only beef is that she books up far in advance and I wish there was an online portal. But Lori's old school so I get it. She's worth the wait! Thank you Lori!

Lori is an exceptionally gifted physical therapist who everyone should see.
I've been dealing with a chronic hip atrophy condition for the last 30 years, since I was ten years old, and I have seen a dozen PTs during this time. My condition is rare, and PTs generally don't understand it well enough to offer exercises that address the actual issue. Typically, I receive strength or movement exercises that are only somewhat helpful. In the first session, Lori was able to assess my limitations and offer exercises that targeted my mobility and stabilizer muscle issues. After doing those exercises for three weeks, I noticed a significant improvement in my range of motion and overall use of my hip. In a single session, she achieved more than hundreds of hours of prior PT.
Lori also helped my wife with a chronic knee issue. Similarly, my wife had seen top PTs nationally for years with limited results. Other PTs just couldn't figure out her real issue, as she passed all the strength tests with flying colors. Within a few sessions with Lori, my wife was able to resume snowboarding and walk without pain, something she hadn't been able to do in years.
If you have a chronic condition or have given up on PTs, definitely give Lori a chance. She has renewed my faith in PTs.

I've only had one visit with Lori, but my initial experience with her was very positive. She's knowledgeable, motivating and kind. Even with just one visit so far, she started me on exercises that are already helping to decrease my pain. Looking forward to working more with her and would recommend her to anyone.

Hi, this review is listed under my mom's name. I am not sure how to change that. I am certain that my mom would be very impressed with your work as well, however it seems like it should be filed under my name, (Pam Vaughn:). I am 200% impressed with the eval and initial treatment that I received from Lori. She is very knowledgeable w identifying musculoskeletal problems and with providing effective manual treatment as well as w prescribing therapeutic exercise to help rehab from problems that had become chronic. Lori is a very capable, skilled practitioner and a delight to work with. I highly recommend!!! Thanks!

My initial evaluation with Dr. Duncan was very enlightening! Though I've been to physical therapy before, this was the first time (in a long time) that I've left feeling hopeful. Dr. Duncan identified issues with my movement patterns that had been missed, or at least not mentioned, in the past. Looking forward to the next session!
