A friend of mine recently had a baby and asked: “So what is the best way to start building back my abdominal muscles?” Without getting into detail about core anatomy or into a debate over which muscles are really part of the core and blah, blah, blah, I’m certain we all agree we need the inner abdominal layers. This video blog highlights three exercises I prescribe to my patients to teach them how to safely kick on their intrinsic (internal) core.
The video demonstrates the three exercises. 5-10 repetitions of each, once a day should do the trick. In a few weeks, you will notice the difference and increased awareness of your core.
